MEL

Coverage

Maritime Employers Liability (MEL) policy(ies) typically provide coverage for an Insured’s employees while working on non-owned or operated vessels. This aspect of coverage is offered using the current standard London MEL forms which have been developed over many years to reflect the needs of Clients to protect themselves and also to respond to changes in the law which have occurred.

Protection & Indemnity (P&I) provides liability insurance for practically all maritime liability associated with the operation of a vessel, other than that covered under a workers compensation policy or under a collision clause.

Marine General Liability (MGL) is a standard liability insurance policy issued to Clients to protect them against liability claims for bodily injury (BI) and property damage (PD) arising out of their premises, operations, products, and completed operations as well as advertising and personal injury (PI) liability.
